Bastille Day: How to Make Your Own Event and Where to Go in LA


Before you take down your 4th of July decorations that bear the red, blue and white colors, just remember another celebration is around the corner. Bastille Day! It will be happening on 14th of July in celebration of France’s National Day.


Below are a few ideas on how to make your own event as well as places to visit in LA for the celebration.


How to Make Your Own Events


  •      French Themed Decorations- Whether you settle for a backyard barbeque with your loved ones or an indoor party, include French themed decorations with the red, blue and white colors. This echoes the purpose of your event- celebrating Bastille Day.

Spice it up with a French-themed photo booth where your visitors can take memorable pictures at.


  •      French Foods- Nothings brings France right to your doorstep in your event than French cuisines. Well, there are other things but French cuisines have to be on your list. French macaron, French onion cheese bread, bouillabaisse or lemon soufflé pudding. The list on this is endless, honestly. A few drinks including French wines for the adults will complete your theme of the day.


  • Entertainers


Djs, Dancers, costumed servers or a champagne skirt would be wow your guest during Bastille day!


Where to Go in LA


  • 5 Art Gallery Reception- For an early start to the Bastille Day, 5 Art Gallery will kick it off with a French Street Art Movement reception on 12th July. This will run from 6 pm to 9 pm.  


  • French Tuesday’s Party- Running from 14th July 6 pm to 2 am on 15th July is a French-themed party at French Tuesdays. On their list of entertainment is French CanCan, international guests and a lounge menu available throughout just to name a few.


  • Pour Vous Their “Midnight in Paris” party on 13th July from 10 pm to 2 am brings you the Paris experience on this Bastille Day’s eve. If you love partying, this is the place to be!
