Coachella 2019: What to expect this year?

This spring, everyone’s attention is on Coachella ’s 2019 edition. For those in the dark, this year’s festival will be at Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA over two weekends this April. The first-weekend event will take place on April 12- 14 while the second event takes place on April 19-21.

So, what to expect this year?

Ticket sale

For starters, if you are late to the party, too bad for you. The tickets might be sold out, but there is no harm in hoping for the doors to open. If you do not mind registering for the waiting list, sign up here.

The lineup

While Beyoncé’s appearance in last year’s event made it the event of the year, there is no doubt we will be talking about this year’s event months down the line why? The line up itself is pretty solid!

You should, of course, expect the best of the best in their music lineup. Heading this year’s line up is Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino, and Tame Impala.

That is not all. Expect to see performances from Solange, Janelle Monáe, Khalid, DJ Snake, Dusky, Escapade, Pusha T and many more. Also, did we mention People’s Sexiest Man Alive, Idris Elba!

Kanye West was not left behind either. He will be holding the Musical Sunday Service on Easter Sunday, April 21- complete with a gospel choir and all.

The after parties

The party does not end at the valley, of course. Apart from the festival itself, expect a series of the fun-filled pool and after parties during and after the festival.

6. Neon Carnival 2019

The grand-daddy of all Coachella after parties. Carnival rides and games, open bar for the entire event, a mini-club under the starts with DJs and live performers. This is ‘s 10 year anniversary, meaning they’ve planned the biggest party yet, with Levi’s returning for its 5th year as presenting sponsor. Self-tanning brand Bondi Sands will provide a unique spin on classic carnival games, including bumper cars and water balloon races. The Ferris wheel will be decked out Pokémon style, to celebrate the May 10th release of the live-action “POKÉMON Detective Pikachu” starring Ryan Reynolds. Something tells us Ryan just might be one of the many celebrities in attendance at Carnival this year…
